The site publishes information and provides a form a homeowner can use to ask one independent local contractor to get in touch. It is not a contractor, plumber, electrician or HVAC contractor, and it is no contractor's agent. It never inspects, prices, performs or guarantees work, never presents or signs a contract, sets no appointments, holds no deposits and has no part in insurance matters. You and the contractor alone settle the scope, price, permits, payments and warranty.

Nothing here vouches for a contractor's workmanship, prices, City registration or insurance, and Ohio has no state license for waterproofing, so look into the business yourself before you sign. For plumbing, electrical or HVAC work at a Dayton address, Building Services (937-333-3883) can tell you whether the person doing it holds a City registration. Ask for liability insurance and workers' compensation certificates and for recent customers you can contact. Leave any sump tie-in, backwater valve or sewer lateral to a licensed plumber working under a permit.

Contractors' flat advertising fees are the site's sole possible income. Homeowners are never charged and are never handed money, gifts or anything else of value.

The calculator, the checker, the guides and every cost range give general information only and come as is. Each figure carries a source and a year and may go out of date. None of it is legal, financial, engineering or insurance advice.
